MacBook As A Gaming Machine

by Juan on June 4th, 2006

Rob Griffiths of Macworld writes an interesting article about the MacBook and games. Basically he says that if you’re a hardcore gamer and want to play the latest and greatest games for the Mac suchs as Sims 2, Quake 4 and Doom 3 then the MacBook is not for you. If you’re happy playing older games then you’ll be ok with the MacBook. But…. and here’s the catch.. You need more memory.

RAM does make a huge difference with systems that use integrated graphics such as the MacBook and the Mac Mini.

Having played with the MacBook, it’s good for your typical use such as email, surfing, photos, music, watching dvds and movies but if you’re really looking to play games seriously, then opt for the MacBook Pro or iMac.
