Is Leopard The New Vista?

by Juan on November 30th, 2007

According to PCMag’s Oliver Rist it is. He writes that Apple has made Leopard less stable than Tiger. It’s actually a step in the wrong direction.

To a certain extent, I’d agree. We’ve upgraded one of our Macs to Leopard in the office. However I’m still using Tiger on my Macbook Pro. Why? Coz as far as today is concerned Tiger is still more stable than Leopard. I’m using Adobe apps and not all of them are optimized for Leopard yet. So I don’t want to get into trouble.

Oliver also writes that there are certain missteps in the interface area of Leopard. That’s true. There are some parts that are a step backward but there are also good things.

As a whole I still think Leopard is still a good upgrade once most of the apps are already Leopardized. Read Oliver’s article and let me know what you think.
