There’s a great article over at BusinessWeek Online on the partnership of the iPod-running shoes team up between Apple and Nike.
Nike CEO Mike Parker had more to say when it came to the iPod integration, “Obviously, a lot of that was already happening … If the shoe and the iPod could talk to each other, what would they say and what’s the potential of that connection? We got the creative side from both companies and we started exploring.”
I know! How about going the next step and trying to fit a Mac mini into a pair of running shoes? Dual core of course. Swoosh!
Their first jointly produced product: the Nike+iPod Sport kit, which involves an electronic sensor inserted under the inner sole of a new Nike running shoe dubbed the Moire (pronounce (MOR-ay). That sensor talks to a small wireless receiver that attaches to Apple’s iPod nano music player.
