Thoughts about the Apple iPhone

by Jayvee on January 10th, 2007

Since I also write a blog on mobile phones, I was presented with a rare but much awaited opportunity to cross post a first impressions thing I made over at Cellphone9.com. You can read my thoughts here.

The filling in of the 4GB and 8GB niche PLUS widescreen video capabilities shows that Apple is sure taking a calculated risk in shaking the iPod video and nano lines.

Steve Jobs really knows how to treat us all like kids — showing us a shiny shiny new toy and holding it back up saying, “Uh uh kids … this will have to wait till June … or 2008.”

Its a really good looking phone but will it work with my zyb.com?

I know its a dumb question but I want it to work with zyb because its really hard to manually upload all of your contacts.

Im getting mine as soon as it hits the stores this June! Good thing im my current mobile provider is Cingular so no need to switch networks. Im kindda iffy about the HD size though. 8GB is not enough, considering Im used to carry my entire music collection with me in my 60GB iPod.

One more thing, Steve Jobs didnt mention anything about standby time of the iPhone. Anyone care to enlighten me about that? Because that would be a clincher for anyone who would want to buy this amazing phone.

wy3th, yeah the harddrive is a bit smaller than what we’re used. I have a 30GB iPod myself but I guess that’s the trade off. I for one don’t mind the 8GB size really. I can live with that. I don’t listen to all my music nor do I spend much time with music either.

As for standby time, I checked the web site and no info on that as well. I guess it’s about a day or so.
