What People Are Saying About The Macbooks

So I guess by now you’ve probably heard of Apple’s latest release. The Macbooks. The sleek replacement to the iBook line and the 12″ Powerbook. I would give you a hands on review on it if not for two reasons. One, they’re still not available here and two, I still don’t have the spare cash to go out and buy one. Maybe you can help with that? No? It was worth a shot.

Anyway, I’ve decided to compile some reviews about the new Macbooks to help out the readers of The After Mac, yes all 3 of you… (please spread the word, let’s get the numbers up folks). Check out the reviews and see for yourself if the Macbooks are right for you.

After reading those reviews, I think the Macbooks are a great value for money. Sure you pay a bit of a premium as opposed to getting a Windows laptop such as a Dell or HP but in return you get a great looking computer that is well designed, well crafted and can boot OS X and Windows XP. Booting XP in itself is priceless since you can’t get a laptop that can legally boot both if it’s not the Macbook or it’s sibling the Macbook Pro.

That being said read the reviews below and decide for yourself. As for me I’m holding off getting a Macbook for the simple reason that I need at least a 15″ screen. So I will be probably upgrading to a Macbook Pro, once we get readership up and revenues to increase here at The After Mac. Till then I will make do with my trusty Powerbook which has served me well.
