The After Mac

Best Mac Software

by Juan on August 19th, 2007

Macs are great machines. They also ship with awesome software. But that’s only half the story. While the bundled software is great, there are other software that can make your Mac better.

Best Mac Software is a site that compiled essential software for any mac user. Beginner or Power users, it doesn’t matter everyone can use these. Some are free, some aren’t.

I use a lot of these software. In fact I recommend some of them as “things you should install first prior to using your Mac”.

Stuff I use

1. Adium
2. Quicksilver
3. Writeroom
4. Firefox
5. Basecamp
6. Parallels
7. VLC
8. Skype
9. Transmit

As for the rest of the software, I’ve given some of them a go, the rest I still have to try but only the above mentioned are must haves for me. I’m not saying the other stuff I don’t use isn’t good but I just don’t need it now.

Check the whole list here.
